A better mousetrap is needed

Logitech is going to be selling an ambidextrous gaming mouse, the G300. It's corded. They have a wireless gaming mouse, the G700 but it's right-handed only. They have some decent ambidextrous wireless mice, but they have no programmable buttons and use batteries (it's unclear whether one must recharge the batteries or whether the 15-18 months life expectancy is without recharging; I might be able to tolerate buying a pair of AA batteries every year if it isn't intermittently inconvenient due to needing a charging cord as well, but that seems pretty unlikely in a $20 item when they can't manage that kind of battery life on a $50,000 car. Last time I had a wireless mouse, the batteries weren't rechargeable and needed changing every 3-4 weeks. It was incredibly expensive and didn't work very well about half the time while I was trying to eke out the last drop of power.)

I like the M570 trackball even though it's right only. I dislike the ambidextrous trackballs and no one makes lefty ones (I really don't understand it since I prefer to mouse on the left despite being a righty, obviously everyone would prefer that if they just tried it.)

I'm really less than whelmed. That's how I ended up buying a Razer mouse last time, because Logitech keeps missing the only boat I'm willing to sail.

Let's see. First. I consider myself caught up on the stuff I missed in everyone else's lives. There's no telling how bad the crisis storm in my life is going to be now that we're in the eye, sometimes the storm skews away and the front edge was much worse. Sometimes the trailing edge is even more destructive. But what I mean to say is, if there was something you were hurt I didn't comment upon, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to forget you, please point it out and I'll see what I can do.

I'm considering cutting my hair off. I have this tremendously strong urge to shave my eyebrows. It's extremely difficult to resist. I recognize that this is a self-destructive behavior. I want to cut my hair myself so it looks somewhat haphazard. It feels like there should be an outward demonstration of the inner turmoil. It also shouldn't look like I have the time to take care of myself to the point that I can go get a haircut. So if it's cut, it has to be me doing it and I have zero intention of doing a good job.

I'm also pretty certain that things are going to get worse and I might prefer having a less fussy amount of hair.

Fanfictiondownloader no longer requires an installed version of Calibre. Which really suits me on the new computer since I thought Calibre was pretty fucking worthless. [Corry sent me a link to an enormous AU HP fic that she vouched for. If you need something to read, chances are pretty good that you won't have time to browse the free e-books lists.]

Corry sent me a second hat. It's just lovely, like the first one. The second one is softer and in more of the colors I prefer to look at. The second hat has all these wonderful details, her signature loop, and itty bitty cables where normally it's just bland ribbing. But the first one is so subtle that I suspect I'll wear it a lot more. It's a beret where everything you can see is plain beige-ish yarn, but the top of it is concentric rings of brown and purple done in stripes with the beige. It's really a great combination of colors, but would have been too intense for next to my face. I don't think I could choose a favorite.

I am thinking that I will really appreciate these if I cut off all my hair. But I made sure to enpicture myself in the hats beforehand.

I'm still coughing, but rarely. Unfortunately gunk comes up now. And it's not the clear gunk from 3 weeks ago. It's still within the realms of acceptable, but I'm going to need to keep a white tissue in my pocket to make sure I'm not worsening. (I know people think the internet is for porn, but I found it rather useful to look up what the shit you cough up looks like and whether it means you need medical help.) I still ache all over.

we're planning to have the cleaner come back, but she'd said Mondays were good for her and Monday is a holiday.

Tuesday looks like it will be a complete fucking nightmare, so if you're going to want my attention, don't wait.
