Food for stomach and mind.

serynI have 3 choices for food tonight.
Mexican, ersatz-Greek pita things, Indian.
I bought curry sauce and lamb.
There are ripe avocados.
There is hummus and pita and tomatoes.
Next week I'm definitely making Italian food, but since I prefer making spaghetti sauce from canned tomatoes, I want to use up fresh ingredients.
I'm not really asking anyone to vote. What's likely to occur is that I will make curry because that's what I want to eat. But I might make guacamole and freeze it.

Two interesting things came up today. One. I saw a pen I absolutely love. I was all set to order it. How many fountain pens are there with turtles on them, after all? It's $7k. Um. Yeah. Not likely. I like to spoil myself with nice things, but I'm more in the $7.00 range instead of the seven-thousand range.
And Two. a RealLife™ foaf is selling a book that got promoted in a blog I read. It's weird because these are people whose house I've been to and stuff but I haven't thought of them in years.

I also vacuumed. I'm wearing a new shirt that is still cute. My knitting is going extremely well. (I was looking for a good explanation of a specific technique and lo! I had written one. And it's still the best one going.) But I still feel like I'm standing in a shadow and watching the sun go down. It's dark and it's not going to get better.
