ps. I shouldn't let myself get worked up over a book that's long since been returned to the library.
Today there was a post from yet another jerk who says weight lifting is boring and who then talks about running for miles. I know these people mean for it to sound like their personal preference but when everyone says shit like this, it really sounds like if you're not running nothing else counts. Every time I see that sentiment, I think, "Fuck it, I'll go back to knitting on the couch."
I didn't get to sleep normally again last night. I was tired at 11pm but it was 3am or so before I was really sacked out. So I passed on breakfast and just slept.

I don't get a lot of sexist comments at the gym. Gym staff heavily promotes weight lifting for women based on current research saying it helps with bone density. The big guys in the weight room like that I do single sets. It's only outside people in the real world who tell me women shouldn't lift.
It surprises me that people think the treadmills or the ellipticals are fun but weight lifting is boring. It's the same thing to me, but the weights don't get me all sweaty and hot.
I love the effects I've gotten from the weight lifting. I don't really see any progress in the cardio stuff... except I can actually do the whole 20 minutes now. It seems like the cardio workouts make you better at cardio workouts which you need to be better at cardio workouts. Autopoietic.
