walking a mile in new mocassins.
Aug. 27th, 2010 07:19 pmOne of those freakish days when I start thinking I should try something new. I found turtle-print flannel material online today... I could make myself nightshirts with SLEEVES that don't hang down past my knees. (I don't know why the choice in stores is between sleeveless and longsleeves... the only sleepwear that has short sleeves are pajamas matched with pj shorts.)
Of course I don't actually sew. (My SO does, and has a machine but he's not proprietary. If it gets him out of doing my mending, he's all for sharing!)
Then I realized I had repurposed some denim (from dead jeans) that I'd meant to make a sleeveless shirt from, so I'm going to try that before buying anything else.
And since I'm at least an inch and a half thinner than when I cut it, my tendency to ignore space for seaming will not be a problem.
I did go to the gym. I didn't let this new idea capture all of my time today. I biked 4.5 miles (shorter than usual, I usually hit 5.5) and went back to the elliptical machine for the first time in weeks. Did .5 miles there... slowly. Then I lifted weights for a while and then I came home.
My new Lands End shirts came. And I had second breakfast in lieu of lunch.
Want to know the difference? I've been taking my vitamins. I really need to find out what it is that I'm needing and not getting otherwise.
