finding a group identity
Jan. 1st, 2011 06:04 pmWould anyone be interested in a more general crafts group? There is the group
crafty and for
corrvin there is
makesomethingalready, but these are not hugely active groups. There is not, for example, a weaving community. There is
knitting,
crochet,
tabletweaving, and
dyeing. But no loom weaving and nothing that incorporates more than one thing.
It seems like since the "big" groups are knitting and crochet and they haven't had 5 posts in a month, combined, ever, that maybe we went too far in differentiating our crafts.
Now, I'm thinking that I should make UFO (my fiber blog) posts in appropriate groups. I'm wavering between trying to bring an invading horde into an existing group and starting "yarrrn" or something equally obnoxiously named.
Anyone with me?
