I have figured out why I prefer wider flatter coffee mugs. I went out for breakfast today and they had a tall mug. I use cream and sugar and since coffee comes first, there's no where to put the spoon that I'm planning to re-use. So I left it in the mug. I stabbed myself in the cheek with the blunt end of the spoon handle.

In a wider mug, that wouldn't have happened.
