serynI saw a movie in the movie theater for the first time in about 8 years. I didn't have a cell phone last time I saw a movie. I've had the current one for a year-ish, and the previous ones for 3 years each. So over 7 years minimally. I think it was the third LOTR.
Tonight I went to RIPD with a friend. It was $5 Tuesday and by signing up for a card, I got popcorn for $2. Which is what a small popcorn used to cost. Now a small popcorn is $6. But it's enormous. Crazy.
The movie was actually quite good. I liked it a lot. It reminded me of MIB.
I don't think Kevin Bacon has been in any movies since Footloose. Footloose was apparently remade recently. Maybe he needs the royalties.
There could have been a lot more humor if they'd done some video effect to show what everyone else was seeing compared to what the RIPD officers actually looked like.
I also didn't get the joke they kept using, "Relax body." I got where it came from. I got why they used it when they did. I just didn't think it was funny.
So. overall worth watching. worth watching for $5 at the theater. worth watching with a friend.
