I want to say that being an adult really sucks sometimes. So much for that mythical childhood idea that one can do anything one wants.
I need to be calling to get an appointment for my car. I should be calling my doctor. I should be trying to understand the forms my insurance company sends (but I'm hoping I can hand them to the doctor's office people and say, "Make it go!")
I need to put away the laundry from last time so I can use the basket for the latest round of washing. My sheets are getting that crumby feeling again.
I also really need to be at the store buying potatoes or thinking of something we can eat for dinner that doesn't need potatoes.
Yesterday I went out for lunch and got sunburned sitting in the park reading. Even worse... I finished a book I've been waiting more than a year to read, in one day because it's about half as long as it should have been. So... I finished two entire hardcover books yesterday. I'm so glad the library bought them and dozens of people will read them, because I would be outraged if I'd paid full retail for these novellas.
