You know how some people are about email? They say they can't get any work done at work because there's all that email?

I'm totally like that about the phone.

It was a weird day because I kept being about to leave for the grocery store when something would happen. I went to shower and would have just thrown on clothes but I had water in my ear so I wanted to lie down for it to drain. Right after then we lost basic services (garage door opening requires electricity.) By the time that was better, I was starved, so I was having a sandwich and popcorn (instead of grabbing a salad from the grocery store's salad bar) when the phone rang.

I love talking to people. But I appear to need recombobulation time afterward. I read that's the word they're using to describe the chairs and such just past airport security--- recombobulation areas.

Then it was after 4pm, there's no point in going to the store when there are going to be hordes of after work shoppers. They're vicious, like Christmas shoppers at a store where the It!toy is on sale.

So we ordered take out. I'm making red beans and rice tomorrow. I would have made it today, but I forgot to soak the beans yesterday and I was convinced I'd get potatoes when I was at the store.

I thought before posting and excised the whole topic about giant cous-cous.

I'm often like that after meetings, in which there is not only active listening but the need to watch what I say as I say it. (The speaking part matters mostly if local-political tensions are high for a certain topic.)
