Today was blue, but in a good way.

serynI was talking about the political makeup of California and when I said there was a thin rim of coastal areas but the rest was pure red, I realized there could be a humorous statement made about the cleansing power of salt water.
I was going to go out to Lenscrafters and get new glasses today, but the location I had chosen got the worst Yelp reviews I have ever seen. Another possible location has equally bad reviews except for 3 5-star ones that were openly written by Lenscrafters' employees. Probably I should go find a real eye doctor. I found an independent glasses-making place which has phenomenal service.
Today I was just returning a library book and discovered that I have inherited the entirety of the knitting group. I think they want to put my name on the fliers too. The other woman has a good reason to drop out but bleah. This is what I said to a friend (the new phones are cool for this exact reason... being able to text somewhere it would be impolite to be on the phone)
I dropped by this new store that opened and was plied with really amazing tea.
Then I went to lunch and had a really good sandwich and excellent fries.
After lunch I was chatting with a salon owner (he was sitting outside and saw my leftovers box and asked me if I'd enjoyed my lunch.) It took me a minute to realize who it was and we got on the topic of hair color. He does weird colors in that 3-month kind of temporary thing (not the kind where it has to grow out.) That would be really awesome.
I've picked out 2 rewards now for meeting my goals of exercise and diet. I'm going to have my hair done (thinking about purple or blue) and I'm going to buy myself silk camisoles and pant slips for helping to keep warm in winter. The silk underwear only comes in the good color if you can wear their regular sizes (I usually buy the W-is-for-wide sizes, but it's close now.)
I've also done 3 loads of laundry (which is all sitting on the bed and I'm dreading the idea of putting it away.)
I haven't really started writing, so at this point it's not going to be NaNo officially, but it's not a terrible concept, so I might just pick my own "month" and not worry about it.
My mixer is supposed to be here Friday. I should get some stuff from the grocery store so I can be ready to try it out!! I cleaned my kitchen yesterday so I would be ready.
