Longmire and Sky Dragons
Aug. 27th, 2012 09:28 amI've discovered a new mystery show that I am enjoying, Longmire. Of course I discovered it the night of the season finale.
I read the last Anne McCaffrey book, Sky Dragons. I'm honestly appalled that I liked that series. So much squicky breeder crap. Plus it falls back on my least favorite science fiction trope.... time travel makes things better but no one ever actually goes back to the root of the problem they just use it for plot devices. Seems like if you have a whole planet and a gestalt species and several subcultures developed, you wouldn't need time travel in every book in order to have a plot.
